The Best Kick-Butt (πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈ) Characters

In honor of my To Best the Boys review (which you should, by the way, totally read πŸ˜‰ ), I wanted to share with you my favorite kickass female characters. Not all of them are rough-and-tumble, though. Just super tough and overall some cool kind of gals.

Why, do you ask, it is in honor of TBtB?? Well, you should read the book, but Rhen (the MC) is a total science nerd and feminist and it is just all epic. So yeah.

But yeah. i hope that you enjoy my compilation! I love, love, love every. single. book on this list, so please read them all! Then we can fangirl as I procrastinate studying for my zoology final, lmao.

Tiger Lily

Tiger Lily

First on off is a total badass. Tiger Lily is, like, the definition of one. She is suuuuper tough and stubborn and will literally bite your fingers off. For, like, no reason. She’s fantastic.

I loved, loved, loved this book! Especially how we see Tiger Lily’s toughness competing with Peter’s pride. ❀ ❀ ❀ Very realistic for how the world is, despite the book being a fantasy.

(btw, if you have not read this book, then you, good sir, are wrong.)

Amani

Rebel of the Sands

Another total female warrior. Amani carries pistols with her all the time and is NOT afraid to use them. She also has quite the tongue and can outwit anyone – man or woman. Honestly, she’s, like, my hero.

Amani will tough it out just to prove a point. She’s not great with emotions (but doesn’t fall into the cliche of “ew, emotions” that I so hate), which is a refresher. With all of her snark and underdeveloped social skills, I can relate to her an insane amount.

Rhen

To Best the Boys

Of course Rhen is on here.

She’s a total science nerd, as I said, but she is also complete no-nonsense. She wants to prance around the world in pants while cutting open dead people (which is actually quite admirable).

Rhen is very logical minded and hates dresses, but she’s still a girl and has a (very) hidden soft side and a crush that is, like, the cutest.

Nastya

Romanov

Romanov should be on your TBR – if it isn’t already. (It releases May 7th) It’s fantastic. BUT ANYWAYS. Nastya is, like, the ultimate trickster. She loves pranks and ranks high on the devious scale.

i will cry over young johnny depp. gah!!

She holds tight to her morals and is nice, but that girl can be crazy sometimes. She’s tough, but will also cry. (not that the two are mutually exclusive)

Basically, Nastya is the queen of shenanigans and had to hold her tongue … but does she? Noooo, of course not. πŸ˜‰

Moxie

The Boys Who Steals Houses

Whoooa, nelly. This girl is a whirlwind. As of right now, I only have forty or so pages and Moxie is just … just … fantastic.

She will knee you in the stomach over a misunderstanding and then won’t apologize. Now, that may be in part that she has three older brothers, but shhhh. Moxie is just absolutely fantastic.

She’s like this firework that’s holding a needle that likes to yell. Yup, that pretty much describes her.

So what about you? Who are some of your favorite kick-butt heroines? Have you read any of these books (if so, please let us chaaaat)?? If you haven’t read my review of To Best the Boys, pls do. I’m lonely. Lol. Have a fabulous day!
